Tonya Hopson is an acrylic and watercolor painter originally from Grand Haven, Michigan; she started sketching at the age of twelve. Upon completing school, she joined the Marine Corps and active duty brought her to the Tidewater area where she has resided for over 25 years. She revived her passion and creativity by taking some local art classes and is now a resident artist at the Artists Gallery in Virginia Beach (VBAC) and an Associate Artist at the d’Art Center in Norfolk.
