Bill Keplesky
​​I am a Connecticut native now living in Norfolk after a career in the US Air Force.  I am self-taught, having painted watercolors on and off over the years.  Since retiring, I have embraced painting as a favorite pastime.  Having grown up in New England, winter and fall scenes have been my favorite subjects to paint.  Since moving to Norfolk, the Chesapeake Bay and local area have become new sources of inspiration.  The encouragement of my family and friends have influenced my art the most. They suggest new subjects and challenge me to try new media, such as oils.  When I choose a scene or subject, I consider how I can capture it on paper. I like to bring the viewers’ attention to details they may not notice when looking at something in real time.
