Betty Haslett
Betty Haslett was born in Long Beach, California and currently resides in Chesapeake, Virginia. She always admired a friend's watercolor paintings of the beach and thought that someday she would learn to paint. So after retiring to Virginia, she joined a beginning art group to learn to use watercolor. It has opened a whole new world to her and allowed her to make many new friends.

Betty's favorite medium is watercolor, but she also enjoys pen & ink, Zentangle and collage. She has taken many art classes at TCC and various workshops. Betty has participated in many exhibitions in various local libraries (Major Hillard, South-Norfolk & Central Library) in Chesapeake, Cape Henry Collegiate School, Suffolk Art League,  Art Expo through Chesapeake Parks & Recreation, Virginia Flower & Garden Show, Towne Bank Shows both Chesapeake & Virginia Beach, Wells Fargo Show, Lighthouse Point, Kroc Center, MOCA in Virginia Beach & TCC student Art Show. She is currently affiliated with Chesapeake Bay Watercolorist, Southside Artist Association, Paint4Fun through Chesapeake Parks & Recreation and the Chesapeake Newcomer Art ladies.
