Anne Gresock is a watercolor artist and a native of the Boston area. She has been a resident of Virginia since 1975, now enjoying living in Virginia Beach. Following her creative passion, she studied painting at San Francisco Art Institute in the late 60’s and then turned this creativity into industry when she pursued a 40-year career in design and manufacture of soft goods. As this career morphed more into data analysis, by 2005, she pulled out her old brushes and paint and began her never-ending journey of learning, exploring and practicing watercolor painting as time, family and career permitted.
In retirement from business, she has devoted more and more time to painting, experimenting and expanding her repertoire. She has been participating in many shows in the Hampton Roads area. Beginning in 2020, she began stretching her knowledge base upon discovering that the upside of the world lockdown was that many world renowned artists had begun offering high-class online instruction. During this time, she took many such workshops and became an habitual, insatiable every-day painter. Her favorite subjects are landscapes, unusual village scenes (mostly from outside the US) and lately, abstracts. This also led her to share her passion by teaching watercolor locally.
