Linda McCausland -My creative side has lurked in the background of everything I have ever done. When I taught Special Education, my artistic presentation of lessons sparked curiosity in my students who reciprocated with their enthusiasm. When I began in the legal world some accused me of being way too creative in my presentation of my cases. On the contrary, creativity kept my audience interested and involved. As for all of us, time passes, however, my love of art did not. I have entered a new era where I allow my creativity to flow freely without any barriers. The thrill and heartache, too, of learning the techniques of watercolors is filling my thirst for art. Although I didn't have the opportunity to follow a strictly "art" path for my life's work, I was blessed by growing up in the Midwest where art was required as a main subject. I drew, painted, created pottery, and learned all the basics needed to be an artist. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to unleash that part of me. Since returning to painting, I've had my work displayed at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens and currently have work displayed in a local gallery. I share the love of art with my grandchildren who also are exercising their creativity in what they do.
