Jenny Ambrose – Watercolor artist based in coastal Virginia, I root my work in the quiet beauty around me, where sky meets water and in the smallest details - grasses, shells, shifting light all hold deep meaning. I paint primarily in watercolor, drawn to its fluidity, softness, and honesty. Water specifically has been my inspiration, but it became something more when my life changed dramatically. After years in the medical field, an autoimmune disease left me disabled and searching for purpose. It was then that I turned back to art, something that once comforted me, and found not only healing, but a new way to help others. Where once I brought care to patients in the hospital, I now offer peace through brushstrokes, inviting people to slow down, breathe deeply, and see the beauty that surrounds them. From my home studio, HeART of Back Bay, I create paintings that reflect both the landscape I love and the faith that sustains me. Each piece is an invitation: to notice the overlooked, to bring nature's quiet grace into our homes, and to glimpse God in the everyday. My faith, my story, and my art are deeply intertwined. Through them, I hope others find moments of stillness, clarity, and hope.
